A beautiful black and white photo, the absence of extravagant colours in this photograph of Coliemore Harbour in Dalkey makes it very simple yet classy. I wanted to have rich dark tones for the sky. As a result, I had to wait for a bright sunny day with blue sky to get the shot that I longed for. I started working in the afternoon to get maximum contrast. An apex is formed due to the triangulation effect of the pier and walls in the foreground which draws the attention to the tower that is visible on the island.
