Gleniff Horseshoe

I took this photograph in my native Sligo last year – the first time in over a decade. It is so easy to take things for granted and I had forgotten how beautiful Sligo truly is. I always go there to charge the batteries, take a walk on the local beach Dunmoran, and visit my nearest and dearest neighbours. There was something very comforting about going home in a very challenging year. This image was taken on the Gleniff Horseshoe – a 10km loop that follows quiet roads with stunning views out to Donegal Bay.
