Crosby beach Liverpool
A black and white photo of Crosby beach Liverpool. A very interesting reason to visit Crosby Beach is Another Place by renowned British sculpture Antony Gormley. Life size sculptures of cast iron which were made from the artist. Another Place consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the vast Crosby beach, stretching almost one kilometre out to sea. It was initially supposed to be a temporary installation but after a Council decision it is now a permanent and fascinating part of the landscape. There is something very serene about the place. The drama in the sky appears to be generated by the wind turbines in the distance.
The Photo of Crosby Beach was part of a commission to photograph the Mersey and it’s estuary for a restaurant in John Lennon Airport in Liverpool.
