Bolands Mill is a historic and renowned landmark in the city of Dublin. The Boland family was the proud owner of this flour mill once; they even owned the popular Boland’s bakery, which is situated on Grand Canal Street Lower.
Now mostly demolished and currently under redevelopment, Boland’s Mill was always very close to my heart and I have always felt a strong connection with it. This huge site makes me spell bound of its sturdy construction. One can simply love it or not! I missed my time in Berlin when I visited the site. This photograph also holds a special place in my winning portfolio to become the 2016 Fine Art Photographer of the year in the prestigious National IPPA awards. It looks fabulous in print as seen here in a large 1.1m x 1.1m square framed piece.
