About this image
I took this photo of the River Slaney in an area called the Glen in County Wexford. Shortly before hand I accidentally stuck one of my legs into a stream flowing into the river. Unfortunately the stream was about 3 ft deep at that stage! I was carrying the camera and tripod at the time. Somehow I managed to keep one leg on terra ferma and held my camera up above my shoulder out of instinct as I fell in. I looked quite strange to say the least with one leg soaked up to my groin! I hope the photo was worth it in the end. I used a neutral density filter and a long exposure to capture the movement of the boat and water.
Moored boat on the River Slaney received a Gold award in 2011 IPPA photographer of the year awards.
