This was my last shot of the day captured during a trip to Mayo and Achill island. The photo was taken on Trawmore Strand (also known as Keel strand) It is a fine sandy beach on Achill and is approximately 4km in length. It connects the village of Keel with Dookinelly and offers fantastic views of the famous Minuan Cliffs at the eastern end of the strand. The sun had gone done and the sky turned a rich dark blue colour. The colour temperature dropped to a cold blu hue and the wet rocks glistened as the water rolled over them. There is something truely wonderful when you are alone shooting a scene like this. You really do see how beautiful the world is.
