About this image
West coast of Strangford Lough is one of the best places to see drumlins.
Drumlins are small, low, rounded hills extending from county Down to Donegal Bay and making the landscape look like a basket of eggs.
The day I took this photo the light was amazing and the clouds were moving very quickly across the fields. It was incredible to see the sunlit areas literally racing along the ground in the front of my eyes. I had the idea to just show the area around the tree in sunlight and with everything else in shadow. I took a series of shoots and this is the one I was the happiest with. It reminds me of Charlie Waite’s photography.
